Leslie Crutchfield is an author, social entrepreneur, and leading authority on scaling social innovation and high-impact philanthropy. She serves as a senior advisor at FSG, a global nonprofit strategy consulting firm, and she co-authored Forces for Good: The Six Practices of High-Impact Nonprofits (Wiley 2008), named by The Economist on its ‘Best Business Books of the Year’ list. Leslie guides nonprofit and philanthropic organizations in the U.S. and abroad on how to increase their social and environmental impact through workshops, trainings and individualized consulting. She is a recent managing director of Ashoka and former director of the Ashoka U.S. and Canada Fellowship Program. Leslie co-founded and ran a nonprofit social enterprise which published a national magazine for social entrepreneurs and growing nonprofits. She is a frequent media contributor whose work has been featured in Fast Company, The Washington Post, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, and Stanford Social Innovation Review. Leslie serves on the boards of SEED Foundation and Kiva. She holds an MBA and a BA from Harvard University, and works from FSG’s office in Washington, DC.
